wallows

Wallows is an all Filipino Indie Pop Rock Band based in New York City that started out on May 2008. The group was formed by Titan who used to play lead guitars for “Launchbox!” (an Indie Pop Rock Band in Singapore). He started looking for bandmates when he arrived in New York by joining some music scene forums and social websites such as poptimesmagazine.com and friendster.com. It was in poptimesmagazine where he met Arthur who was a bassist looking for a band to jam with. Initially, a female bassist (ala D’Arcy) was in mind, but then things changed, and it turns out, Arthur was a great bass player with a lot of experience! He then found the perfect drummer in friendster.com (Hubert) by sending a private message to his account after doing a search of all profiles who had interest in Playing “Drums” and lives within a 25 mile radius from his zipcode. After sending out messages to some 15 people, only Hubert replied with the words.. “I can play but I’m not a professional”. That’s exactly what was required (And he sure can play!). Hubert then recommended his cousin Ave as vocalist who loves to sing and was already in collaboration with him on an RnB outfit! After a series of practice sessions at Huberts’ crib in Queens, the band decided to take in another guitarist (Mike) to do rythym guitars who is also a friend of Hubert. Wallows is currently writing original songs and is on the lookout for gigs to play in the city. The Band is also developing their chemistry and identity.
